Renewable raw materials

Renewable raw materials are organic substances of animal or vegetable origin. Their application area is the industrial processing as well as the generation of heat and electricity. They can replace their fossil competitors in many areas and contribute to the conservation of limited reserves for subsequent generations.

EFA supports small and medium-sized enterprises in North Rhine-Westphalia with the application of renewable raw materials in products and production processes. One of the focus areas is renewable factory supplies (betriebsstoffe) and auxiliary materials that are used in production as the basis of products or as auxiliary or procedural materials.

For example, biodegradable lubricants and procedural materials based on vegetable oil, packaging materials based on corn and other applications of renewable raw materials, such as starch, sugar or cellulose.
